Allow me to introduce a couple of new files which should be of interest to mediumwave DXers. You will find them at the top of the right sidebar under LATEST US MEDIUMWAVE FILES.
First, are a complete set of HTML files which are the most current information on all licensed US mediumwave broadcast stations from 540 - 1700 KHz. There are 12 files in the zipped set. A ton of information is contained, and each file has clickable links which will take you to relevant FCC web pages on each station, or directly to the mapping site wikimapia.org to show the transmitter tower site on a satellite map.
Second, a comma-separated-value (.csv) file containing all licensed US mediumwave broadcast stations from 540 - 1700 KHz. This file can be opened in your favorite spreadsheet program and viewed as an XCEL file.
FCC database files for January 5, 2013 have been used in this compilation.
You might be interested to know the latest US counts. As of January 5, 2013:
US facilities licensed: 4737
US facilities licensed but silent: 100
US facilities with IBOC licenses: 298
IBOC licensees are growing at a microscopic pace: they have increased by only 9 since August, 2009, more than three years ago.
The Downloads
HTML Files 540-1700 KHz: See the link at the top of the right sidebar under LATEST US MEDIUMWAVE FILES.
CSV File 540-1700 KHz: See the link at the top of the right sidebar under LATEST US MEDIUMWAVE FILES.
I will attempt to make this a regular feature on RADIO-TIMETRAVELLER, with regular updates. The sidebar at the top right will have the most current links. The link will change for each new posting, so I would avoid copying and pasting it into a forum or other web page. Come to the main page of this blog instead.

"Us mediumwave DXers"
It is of interest to us, not we.
Blunt technique, but correct.
